Island Blooms 42" Gardenia Live Outdoor Plant in 8.75" Grower Pot

Gardenia, renowned fragrance and elegant white blooms, is a cherished addition to any garden or patio. This evergreen shrub boasts glossy, dark green leaves that provide a stunning backdrop to its aromatic flowers, making it a focal point in outdoor spaces. To ensure your Gardenia thrives, plant it in well-draining. Position it in a location that receives bright, indirect sunlight; while it can tolerate partial shade, ample light encourages prolific blooming. Maintain consistent soil moisture, watering deeply once a week or more frequently during hot, dry periods. Avoid overhead watering to prevent leaf spot diseases. Pruning is generally minimal; however, removing spent flowers can promote a tidier appearance and may encourage additional blooming. In cooler climates, consider planting the Gardenia in a container so it can be moved indoors during the winter months, as it is sensitive to frost. Regular feeding with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer will support vigorous growth and abundant blooms.
