INSTALLATION STEPS Install the coil spring compression tool to remove the spring. Loosen the lower stop before removing the spring. Remove the spring. The upper spring bracket is welded on XJ models. So measure the distance from the end of the mount to the washer, mark and cut on the outside of the mount, just below where the washer is inside the mount. (cutting is usually not required on other models) Sand and sandblast the cut surface to prevent rust. Install the new coil spacer kit and secure it to the top with the screws. (anti-seize lubricant will need to be applied to the bolts before installation) Follow the disassembly method and reinstall it back to complete. Before you begin, be sure to loosen the spring retaining clip where the spring base meets the axle and remove the anti-roll bar for easier installation.
